Devastating diseases, a lack of clean drinking water and poor health facilities plague many of the countries where AFAP works. Often, these problems can be reduced or eliminated through awareness and health programs.

Access to clean water and sanitation facilities leads to improved community health.

Within its water and sanitation program, AFAP is working with its partners to increase access to clean drinking water by building or repairing wells and installing toilets and other sanitation facilities. AFAP is also creating general awareness about the importance of hygiene and waste management.
